Is there a small format pedal that will nail both the MIB and the Mesa tone?

I'm AB'ing a Mesa throttle box (pretty cool) and a Crunch Box (sweet as well). The Mesa can get somewhat middy, but just doesn't have that lead tone.

Is the wampler Sovereign a do it all high gain pedal?

There are a few larger enclosures that do it, but I like smaller pedals :)

If you liked the Crunch Box, you might find your answer in the Super Crunch Box.

Variable comp settings make dialing in a lead tone with just about any amp a breeze. You can get that nice, compressed modded JCM 800 tone.

Low gain tones are sweet too, but that doesn't seem to be what you're after.

Check out the Weehbo Bastard or maybe the Suhr Riot Reloaded.

Isn't it a little on the pudgy side?

These are the size of a Wampler which is a little larger than the two I mentioned above, but my go to high gainers now are a Bogner Burnley and a JHS @ Timmons.......worth a listen.

I'll second the MXR Super Badass Distortion, obviously not the coolest pedal to have on TGP, but it covers a LOT of ground.

Yeah I will also suggest the MXR Super Badass Distortion. Lots of range/ versatility, and the 3 band eq gives you lots of tone shaping possibilities.

Will this cop the Mesa tones?
