My '82 Gibson 355 has Grover tuners on it and they have some internal wear.
I could replace these with nickel Grovers and they now have a model with 18:1 tuning ratio, sounds good to me but nobody up here has a set just now. I was looking at alternatives, specifically the Hipshot Classics as they have 18:1 and they are much lighter. I looked in a lot of corners on the internet and did not find any answers as to fitting these to a 335. They look like they might have their single securing screw in the same locale as Grovers, thus avoiding any headstock redrilling. Anyone know for sure?
