Don't see very much Hofner love around here unless it's for the Beatle Bass. Which is a shame because damned if Hofner doesn't make a fine instrument.

Here's my customized Verythin CT:

I'm in.

May I introduce to you my German-made Höfner Verythin Standard:

It has a very clear, bell-like and very airy sound. Not as woody sounding as my Epi Casino. The neck profile is slightly asymmetric and the best playing one of all my guitars.

One I had many years ago.. Picture was taken in 1972 while in the Military.. I ended up selling it shortly afterward.. It was old then.. I'm guessing early '60s.. I think it was a model 459..

Fang with Paul Revere and the Raiders before they got their Vox endorsement deal..

And how about a very early picture of Gene Simmons with a Hofner..

I've always wanted to play one of these. Hofner reissued them recently but I'm not sure how similar they are to the originals.

Nice! Is that the same guitar as in post 1? Very nice mods then. Which pickups are these and how do they compare to the humbuckers?
