Tell me about these guitars new and old. Especially old. I noticed the guy from the kills playing one and they have a unique sound and that got me interested. How do the play and sound?[IMG]

'60s Hofner solidbodies are what I consider "mid-quality" for their time. The pickups are excellent (Hofner used several pickups in the '60s, and all of them sound great) but the slider switches tend to be less than reliable and can require frequent cleaning. I'm not a fan of the thin necks, but of course that's subjective.
