Hold Music

Damn I hate that stuff. Who the hell thought it was a great idea to blast the phone (on my dime) with loud, crackly, crappy sounding music, starting halfway through the same song I had on hold last time?

Sheeesh! Even if it's my favourite song, I don't want to hear it over the worst sound-system available, on loop, interrupted every 60 seconds by "...please continue to hold... your call is important to us..."

It is a major annoyance.
I would rather hear fingernails on a blackboard.

It helps a little to turn the spkr on,
turn the volume down
and set the phone on a table.
Not as much EAR BLAST!

Worse..I call a company that has what sounds like old "Duke Nukem" grocery store scene music.. Drives me nuts waiting for the pigcops to come at me...
