    It doesn't get any more 80s New Wave than that!

    I don't recall hearing them, likely I didn't. I liked the genre well enough, but I'm sure I missed a few.

    It sounds fine but to me doesn't stand out.

    Yes, I think it has all the elements of 80's new wave, many of which became cliché

    I've been on a search for obscure 80s new wave, this is one I vaguely remember - the song not the band - as an example. I'm finding a great deal of music from this time period I've never heard before, I think I finally hit my music regression point/period.

    As an aside: My kid makes fun of it, but he also likes some of the songs/bands (he's asked me to play it in the car many times, he digs the Beatles, also likes the Smiths, Depeche Mode, not so much the Cure, Ultravox, Duran Duran, Gary Numan, etc.) and the fact that there's many keys (he's learning piano) featured prominently in the bands/music of 80s new wave.
