1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

Of late I have been rekindling my love of Hope Sandoval, both with and without Mazzy Star.

Love her. Any news on what she's up to now?

Mazzy Star is back and performing at Coachella this year on April 13 and 20.

They also released a couple of new songs towards the latter part of 2011.

LOVE Sandoval. Her turn on the recent Massive Attack LP was great.

Terrific song. Both Massive Attack and Hope Sandoval had completely fallen off my radar until I heard this song playing over the intro of the BBC show Luther. Definitely rekindled my interest.

    Nice stuff. Thanks!

I always loved Hope and Mazzy Star. Saw 'em on tour a million years ago with Jesus and Mary Chain. Boy, if that wasn't the perfect double bill, what is?

That describes a great many of the shows I attended in the late 80s and early 90s, as well as describing several high school friends in the late 80s.

I felt like I'd had a couple of packs of clove cigarettes after seeing Siouxsie and the Banshees in '88, for instance.

^ Awesome. Nothing like wafting plumes of Djarum to set the right atmosphere and induce the correct amount of pulmonary discomfort for the appreciation of, er, 'dark' music!

I was one of the kids chain-smoking those things at the Thrill Kill Kult show
