just caught 'Tuna a couple of weeks ago
one of my all-time favorite musical entities
Jorma and Jack have one of the deepest grooves on the planet
guess playing together for half a century helps a bit

Burgers, and also Quah was another gem...that was just Jorma I think. Tuna with Kimock should be good!

For sure a beautiful song. There used to be (likely still is) a vid of Jorma explaining exactly how to play it - I don't think it's standard tuning.

Beautiful song. I remember the original LP had a vivid magenta inner sleeve that nearly sucked the eyeballs out of your head.

Thanks for posting this. Yes there is a video of Jorma explaining how to play it. I will watch and learn it this evening after work. Forgot how good a tune this is. Thanks again.

Another great part of this album is the cover shot. Classic. But HT has so many great cover art's.

Mandolinist Barry Mitterrhof with Tuna is superb!

Yes he is
Great player and a perfect fit for HT
funny thing though
the other night, it kept feeling like Barry was rushing
He wasn't
it's just that Jorma & Jack had their groove locked down so tight that Barry was constantly pushing
after all
He is the youngster of the group

+1 for this record, has some great stuff on it! Love the tune in the OP's post, Sea Child was a big one for me too....

That album was a classic. What ever happened to Papa John? Obviously, he has passed on.
