Can anyone recommend which value of a Hovland MusiCap would work best with my 59 relic strat with WCR SRs? Thanks...

i have the .022 in my ES-446 (i used the whole RS historic harness w/ superpots) and man! what a difference! i can totally hear the change (along with the lollar imperials that i put in at the same time) but now the electronics are much more responsive and clear and the guitar screams!

I have an RS kit on my WCR SR loaded strat (300K pots and Hovland)

I initially had the .022uF Musicap which was great.

After some time i tried the .047uF Guitarcap which was also great, but some months later i missed the .022 and put it back.

It's a matter of personal preference. I like it a little brighter because my Strat with the braz rw board is a little darker so the .047 is a bit too much for MY taste.

I think i could use the .047 on a maple boarded one, but since i haven't tried it on my "number two" (maple) i can't recommend.

    Both caps are great though.

btw, since you go for an electronics upgrade, i would recommend the Callaham cryo-treated CRL 5-way switch and the switchcraft jack.

I put them on mine and i believe they added a little extra ....
    ....just something..... air_iness, open_ness.... i don't know.
    it's just better...
    to me...

    and NOT placebo...
