I have been leaving my Sonic Edge pedal on all the time and it is pretty cool.

What do you all think.of having a pedal always on. Other pedals I have tried this with are the Xotic RC, EP, MXR Micro Amp Plus, Keeler Katana and a few others

If you have an always on pedal, what and
    why?

CMATmods Deluxe Signa Comp: evens out everything. I have it set for a mild compression and adds some warmth to my sound
VFE Blues King (on 95% of the time): edge of break up sound and my first stage od
TC Electronic Nova Repeater: dotted eighths, high mix, 2290-like setting, sliight vibrato modulation.

Barber barb eq for me. It adds something really nice running after a fuzz and gives a familiar sound regardless of what amp I'm playing through

I use the RC Booster for this sometimes. Sounds lively.

ClinchFX EP-Pre, that's a good "always on" pedal on my board.

Boss Metal Zone: best "always off" pedal ever! :D

    Dr Scientist The Cleanness always.

In my band, I leave my Industrialectric reverb machine on with a tad of gain and moderate springy verb as well. My El cap is also on for everything except 2/3 of one song.

I've quit doing it recently (no particular reason), but for more than a year I left an Effectrode compressor on at all times 2nd in my chain. Sounds great, guess I just wanted to hear some different stuff......sure I'll go back.

I only use the "always on" method in rehearsals with the yellow side of a ZVex Super Duper. Some amps (particularly a Bogner) don't like my tremolo pedal when on. So I use the ZVex at the end of the chain. Otherwise, I don't subscribe.

I don't have a "always on" pedal at the moment, but i used to have a Zinky Master Blaster that i kept on all the time. It added a really nice, for want of a better word, sparkle to the tone. Foolishly flipped it and should probably pick up another.
I'm also toying with picking up a Arc Klone for an always on.

My Xotic SP Compressor is always on. Amazingly, before I tried this little gem, I was most decidedly NOT a fan of compression to boot. Great pedal that makes everything I play sparkle.
