Seems like most people like being busy but I'm more like the opposite, enjoying my free time and spending it however I wish on the spur of the moment.

I don't work 80h weeks. Merely 40h and it's plenty enough for me. Don't have any responsibilities except to my dog and that's how I like it.

    How busy are you?

I'm busier than I prefer, but part of it is the time of year. Things will slow down considerably in a couple of weeks.

I'd rather just work 40 hours, happily trading money for more time at this point in life.

About 50 hours at work plus another 10-15 hours commuting. I could probably stand to spend more time at work.

For some us, working more than 40 hours/week isn't about making more money. It's about staying in business.

Perhaps. I've known some people who love their work so much that it's basically their identity. Without their job, they'd have nothing. I've seen people routinely work 80h weeks because of that.

Some people live to work but I prefer to work to live.

I worked 60+ hours a week and usually a lot more for over 30 yrs. In my own hvac mech. Business.

And now over the last 3.5 yrs. Due to my health I am bored out of my efin mind. And can't stand not working.
    Unemployment theater sucks!
Hoping 2016 is the year I get back to my work but not as many hours. So far my rehabilitation is one set back after another getting further from it being this year for getting back to work.

Had the misfortune to date two women like this. Never again. It seems like I'm seeing more and more people like this the older I get as well. Maybe it's just that it bothers me more the older I get, so I notice it more. Life is too short to devote your life to to work, in my opinion. To each is own and all that though.

I work 9 days x 8 hours every two weeks with a very short commute, which is very ideal for a laid back lifestyle.

it's the 2 kids under the age of 3 that kills me. I'm Pretty much busy from 7 am to 8pm straight. (Thank goodness for my wife. I have no idea how a single parent does it)

Edit: The kids do have a nap in the afternoon. On the weekends I do get a few free hours to whatever I like. (quietly, of course). Lately, I've been using it to get some exercise. I also sneak in some internet time/tv time/ guitar noodling while I'm supervising.

40+ hours a week most of the time. Toddler and pregnant wife. New house with a garden that we are trying to get established before the baby. Several rooms to paint before the baby. 2 bands.

    Yeah, I'm busy.

I'm very busy but a good deal of that is doing things I love or have a passion for.

    Peace,

I work three 12 hour days on the weekends and get paid for 40 hours. That leaves me four days a week to relax, fish and post. I wish I had more disposable income, sometimes; but I can't work those long overtime hours like when I was younger.
So, not very busy at all.
