This is what I am after
    EDWARDS E-SE-100/LT
    http://www.espguitars.co.jp/edwards/se/E-SE-100R.html

In either the burgundy or blue with matching headstock. I figure it will be around $800 when all is said and done and I am ready to rock n roll but I am not sure how to proceed. Any of you guys every buy these from overseas? Help a brother out! :)

    Thanks,
    Frank

I found the guitar on Ishibasi Music website and sent an email for some info. We'll see how that goes. These look great and it is so hard to find a nice modern style Strat with vintage style bridge and look. Plus I love Duncan SSL-1's so that is a bonus! :)

Thanks phodg. I sent an email to Jason but I am guessing he is at NAMM.
Joseph, from what I can tell it is 9.5" radius.

I ordered my Edwards LP directly from Ishibashi. Email correspondence was in English and the transaction was very smooth.

    Try emailing Hiroaki at web-shop@ishibashi.co.jp

+1. Ishibashi is a good place to go if you want a guitar from Japan. Love that Edwards model in the Candy Apple Red color.

Yeah, he is. But I think he's checking his Facebook messages regularly.

Ishibashi is great, but if you can find what you want on Ebay it becomes even easier.

What does the dual-mode switch do on these? I guess looking at the picture it's a push/pull on the bottom tone knob.

The best way is to get on an airplane ...

I went to Shibuya in person. Tons of little shops with fantastic stock. I picked my Edwards out of a small store where th edwards wall had maybe 30-40 Gibby types hanging 3 deep.

    Or email them. :)

How do the Edwards compare to Fender Japan models?

I bought a new Jazz Bass from Ishibashi. I called them up about 5:00 AM, and placed the order. I had it in my hands in 5 days.

I believe you can buy Edwards guitars straight from Japan on Amazon.

I am looking into that but it looks kind of shaky. Anybody ever made a purchase from Amazon Japan?

I bought a couple Edwards and an Orville from Ebay with no issues. One was from Katana (who were fantastic) and I can't recall the others but I had no problems and very fast shipping.
I only had one Fender style Edwards and it was a Tele. It was awesome.

You won't be disappointed with this strat.

I have this model and it's great ,everything checks th right boxes(mine even has a bit of flamey neck!).
When i bought it (second hand, a great deal) i thought i would be changing the pickups...to my surprise this seymour set sounds amazing.
