    If your talking about the vocals, it's what 99% of all the hip hop artists are using. AUTOTUNER!
    you get an auto tuner and almost max out the effect. When you Max it out, that's what will give you that quick peak and drop key effect. And you can even be completely tone deaf!

    Yeah sounds like cheap auto-tune. (might sound better than the fancy versions of that effect, if that means anything)

    It's kind of like converting a guitar signal to digital, simply to keep the notes on-pitch.
    Like... that's the effect you get. Digitized tone and sounding like you can stay on-pitch.
