I've done some stuff similar that involved 2 daisychained delays set to pretty long times and lots of repeats and then playing chords and rolling the volume up to fade them in.

Fun song, kind of a Robin Guthrie thing going on on guitar, only with a lot less reverb. I hear chorusing as well, which makes sense since the band's guitarist has a JC120.

thanks guys! regarding the line6 delay/looper, do you also think that's what's being used in this track?

They show the Line 6 DL4 and MM4 in the video for a second, so probably, yes. It sounds like a mixture of a short looped guitar figure, possibly with some mild filtering after it, overlaid with reverse reverb or delay, as noted. Probably multitracked too, so may be difficult to fully recreate with one guitar and pedals.

thanks!

Also, do you know if the line6 m9 can do all of the kind of experimental stuff the dl4 can do?
