Can't upload directly. Need to upload to a service like photobucket and then link to that.

Supporting members can upload media directly from their computer to the forum. To do so, you must click “Media” in the blue bar on top and then “Add Media” (to the right). Name the album you are creating (this only need be done once) and then add media. Now when you are in the post entry box, you can click on the “camera” icon and drop your images inline with your posts.

Alternatively, you can link to remotely hosted pictures. We recommend a free picture hosting service such as www.imgur.com It is free, fast and easy. You upload your photos there, copy the [IMG]

I've uploaded a picture to imgur, copied the link, and pasted it into my post, using the image function in the tool bar. I've tried both with and without [IMG]img tags but can't get it to work. It only shows up a broken image link icon with img in brackets after it.

When you upload a photo you get a few options when it finishes uploading, click "get share links" and you'll get this:

Copy the BBCode one and paste it directly into a post.

When choosing from your gallery in imgur, you see this:

Also BBCode is the one to copy :)

If its a guitar that I am looking to post for sale, I usually list it on reverb first, then I can right click copy and paste the image directly into the comment box.

25 year old Warmoth soloist. Many guitars have come and gone but this thing endures.
