Still not sure I have seen a definition of modern country or what it is being restricted to. Like I said, lots of recently crafted country that sounds like the "good stuff" everyone is hung up on.

For the record I don't like the "bro" stuff either, but you dont have to try all that hard to find stuff that is outside of that.

I dont school lazy people. From the sheer number of your posts, you seem to talk a lot, and yet say nothing.

Lol, I don't know. , Lee Brice :) Im not arguing it all makes me laugh..

Country music right now is embarrassing and just shameful,

Its like wwe, meets skynyrd meets, vanilla ice meets, acid, meets boy george, meets ufc wardrobe.

    Figured.

I would love to as shunned as Waylon Jennings was. Nearly 10 years of major label(Chet Atkins produced, no less) albums/records that didn't sell, despite payola getting them on the charts, tour support, label support... Chance after chance, image makeovers(the dude went full on poor man's marty Robbins, Spanish guitar and everything),until finally Billy Joe Shaver comes along to save the day. Hey, it stuck! We'll stick with that for a while.

Nobody gets that kind of coddling in the music industry anymore. Shunned...great ****in tune, btw, just Waylon trying to make something stick, and everyone wanting to help.

That's actually an interesting point -- I have no doubt that an industry machine could turn the dials to "Rock," and churn out an equally insipid, formulaic stream...but presumably there's so little market out there, it's not worth the investment?

The same way I would describe big chicken industry. Pumped with artificial hormones to increase profit while sacrificing any nutritional value. Pop Country is like a Mcdonalds chicken nugget.

Actually Brantley Gilbert is very athletic and talks with a twang.
He writes all of his songs and no autotune. :beer

Country throwdowns are not for everybody. Some people like to sip grasshoppers at a jazz club.
