How do you like to set up your High E/B string action for bends?

is it a good idea to make sure you can at least bend the 1.5 step from 19-22 and from 17-20?

I used to have it low so I would just be able to bend 1 step at the higher fretswithout fretting out, however perhaps it should be higher so that way I can adapt to other guitars who are set up a bit higher for those bends.

I keep my action very low (3/64 at the high E) and can do bends like that. You have to decide if your music demands whether or not you need to have access to bends of that size. I don't want frets to limit any bend. My strings should break before that happens. I want P4 bends on the G, M3 on the B, and m3 on the high E. BTW, the trick is having a fingerboard radius of 12" or more and good fretwork.

well raised the action a bit on my strat so i could get m3 bends on the high E/B string..... amazed how little I needed to raise it to do that, I still consider the action low. and this is on a 2009 Am standard 9.5 radius strat.... fender must have really got their fretwork QC down. My 335 also plays easily with m3 bends and low action,

however my Les Paul Studio Faded actually has higher action than my 335, and somehow more buzzing, and more fretting out. I'm guessing some fretwork should be done?
