I had a friend with a nifty plastic storage drawer lined with velcro on the bottom for easy transport. I just recently filled my board and have about two out of commission pedals at the moment and may need to consider keeping my own pedal storage eventually. What do you guys use? Any pics?

I just use the original boxes they came with and put them up in my closet.

    This.

And then put them in USPS boxes so it's ready to ship when I want to buy another pedal.

On a shelf in my studio room. I honestly like to be able to see them b/c sometimes I'll just walk by and see one and be like, "Oh, crap....that'd sound awesome on this." Keeps them front of mind so to speak.

I had some custom (cassette) tape shelves built into my office at home when we moved in. They're not so useful for tapes anymore, but they work great for compact size pedals.

A little plastic drawer cabinet, about three feet high. Got it at the Container Store, if they're still around.

I put them in the original boxes, and then line them up in a cabinet with glass doors that I keep all my gear in (Cables, Pedals, Power Supplies, Extra Strings, Picks, Capos, Etc...)

    This.

Wish I had more room so I could put them on display and have them in site and ready at all times, but I don't. Oh well

I keep mine in an old cherry-wood, internally lit china cabinet, the kind with glass shelves and glass sides. Five shelves or so about 3 feet wide, packed to the gills.

Looks cool, and kind of warms my heart.

The rest are on pedal boards, and they are all over the place.

Im a hoarder God help me.

Recently I have been on the hunt for a better way to store unused pedals, and found Ikea has a great solution, they retail for $60 but I scored all 3 for $110 by looking used locally.

Found some more on kijiji, JUST had enough room for my unused stuff, still figuring out what to do with the rack gear. here is what a few look like together, sorted by time based/verb, dirt, and modulation...

Here is a link to the unit, it is also capable of being lit through a hole in the top panel, is available in 3 colours, and I would estimate you can fit over 30 boss style pedals in each one.

Pedals that aren't on my main board are either loaded on a second board for home use or they sit on a bookshelf waiting to get played. If I have the box, I'll stick them in the box.

There ain't no place I'd rather be
In the original boxes, in large plastic tubs.

I either give them away, sell them or just keep them in a large box.

In their boxes and in a drawer. But it's just because i'm neat, i don't think it would hurt them to be out. Would it?
