How does mosferatu compare to Zen Drive ?

    IMO: The Mos has more gain and is chunkier/fatter. (I've owned both at the same time).

    The cool thing about the Mos is that even though it's fat and thick it still retains good note separation and clarity. Still one of my favorite soloing pedals!

    I agree completely. I was pleasantly surprised by the note clarity with the gain cranked.

    With the gain turned down, can the Mos get at all close to the Zen sound?

    I'll take a shot at this since I had both at the same time.

    Yes - sort of. IMO the Mos can get close, not exact, but in a full band context the difference might not be noticeable.

    Please note that I wasn't running my Zen into a blackfaced Fender to achieve the coveted *umble tone so results may differ if that's what you're after.

    Yes, at least with the way I set them in my Mos/ZD 2 in 1, the Mos is fatter sounding.
