...as percentage of your total collection?

EDIT: Please include any subsidiary brands/companies.

FWIW, I have 1 Fender out of 6 electrics/acoustics/basses (others are Yamaha, Takamine, Jackson, 2 Mayones)

I don't have a huge collection of guitars. At the moment, one true Fender (Jaguar), one Gibson (J-45), and then a Gretsch, a Univox, and a Vega archtop. I've owned many Fenders through the years, at least one of all the standard solid body models (Strat, Tele, Jag, Jazz, Mustang). The J-45 is my only Gibson, although I've had a few Epiphones, Gibson electrics usually aren't really my thing. Really would like a Les Paul Jr some day though.

    2 out of 5 electrics = 40%
    2 out of 6 total guitars = 33%

    Why do you ask?

    Other brands you know. :facepalm

I like them and love some of them. But they are overrated. Great guitars but if I had a nickel.:facepalm:munch

Even counting all the acoustics, electrics, steels, banjos and mandolins, it's less than 1/3 of the total.

The only reason my electric collection isn’t 100% Gibson/Fender is because I have an ‘84 or ‘85 Ibanez Destroyer which has been through hell and back that I can’t get rid of. It’s from my metal days and I can’t bring myself to just toss it or spend $400 to get it refretted. So in the closet it sits.

The rest, I have 2 Strats (1 Mexi with Floyd Rose, 1 US Std), 1 Tele (US Pro), and 2 LP’s (2019 Traditional and 50s Standard).

No Gibson or Fender acoustics, though. Never touch them anyway.

One Fender - a '68 Tele Custom. (A bunch of T-body variants, though)

Five Gibsons - '66 SG Junior, '71 SG II, '82 LP Standard, '03 Special DC, '11 LP Studio 60s Tribute Gold Top.

Well, I have 4 Fender CS and 2 Charvel CS. I guess that is now considered 100% Fender, so all good!

1 out of 5 total is a Fender, the rest Gibson (then there is the Suhr S-Classic, but that was not in the ask)

    0. Have custom strats I like better than any Fender I've ever played, and a few LP style guitars I like better than any Gibson I've ever come across as well...
