I'm curious to hear how many hours of play people are typically getting out of their tubes. Thanks.

It will vary a lot. I've had some last a year or two and others last for twenty years.

I go by this, for power tubes, if you play 3 to 5 times a week a couple hours each jam, you should replace once a year.

If you play less, replace less often, in 35 years of playing, i've never lost a power tube.

Obviously some tubes can last longer, but i would rather keep a fresh quad every year or so.:munch

Pre-amp tubes can last indefinetly, i have some Blackburn Mullards & amprex that are older than dirt, and still sound awesome.:agree

for me,medium gigging just in bars doing covers, amp on from 9.30pm to 2am ...i used to change tubes every may but i currently have JJ 6l6'S in the SLO and ive had em in for 2yrs and still doing good.
depends on the tubes type too,my EL84 amps needed changing every 8/9 months maybe..you can tell when theyre tired
