I'm using mine to boost the front end of my VHT Pitbull 50 ST's crunch channel for leads. Not enought preamp gain on tap with the boost function.

The Klon is cool, but it wasn't amazing for my use. So, I sold it on ebay for a little more than what I paid new. I know use a Bad Bob which works fine for my purposes. I play a Tele through a Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue.

I'm on my 2nd. And I dig it alot, but recently it got booted off my board by a P.A. Power Driver. Different brothers from the same mother. I'll never sell it, should of never sold the first one. Who knows a little more time with the PD, and the Klon may come back...more news as it happens. It's nice to have that option.

The Klon sounded great, but I found myself using the Tim and Red Snapper a lot more.

I have an earlier silver one with the Centaur graphic on it. I've never even played through another one, so I don't know if it sounds any different than the newer ones, but it's not going anywhere. Even though I don't use it as much as some of my other ODs, it's a keeper and a secret weapon if ever there was one. It does one thing, but it does it better than anything else i've heard with my rig.

I've had my Klon for almost 6 years and I have yet to replace it with anything. I've tried to take it off the board because I'm really nervous having it out at the bars and what not. BUT - I can't take it off the board. I love it, and I'll most likely never let it go.

I've had my first one for approx. 8 years now. It's always on my board. I bought another one (for backup) about a year and a half after I bought the first one and it really hasn't been used much yet.

Cool guys, What amps are you using it in front of? Are you boosting an already overdriven amp or a clean amp?

Love it as a clean boost and to add strong mids in low - medium overdrive.

I us it in front of a Dr. Z KT-45.

i use it as a boost and buffer at the beginning of my chain. it fattens up any pedal or amp very nicely.

    So, hypothetically speaking.

If you had a Honey Bee, a TIM and an RC Booster and were playing Alt-Country/Americana/Alt-pop/rock, would you still find a place on your pedalboard for a Klon?

I have owned a brand new Klon Centaur for about 10 days now and I think that there is nothing out there like the Klon. The Klon Centaur adds this muscle and width to the sound (but you have to have the right amplifier --that is a key element) or the Klon will not give up the goods. Since you asked about the BJF Honey Bee they're two very different animals. I LOVE THEM BOTH & use them both.
