For example, if you were to do a Google image search and you right-click the picture, there should be an option "copy image address". When you click the little image icon in your post you can paste that into the bar and the image should populate.

I have tried to add pics with my iPad dozens of times and I absolutely cannot figure it out. The process is ridiculous. Usually I post the link and someone takes mercy on me and posts it. Make it easy for crying out loud.

I have the same issue. I'm wanting to share a pic of my pedalboard, from the Photos app in Mac OS (desktop, El Capitan), and it doesn't work.

Having the same issue as well, although some users can see what I post from Google photos and others can't.

I copy the image address into the image field icon above. Frustrating.

Supporting members can upload media directly from their computer to the forum. To do so, you must click “Media” in the blue bar on top and then “Add Media” (to the right). Name the album you are creating (this only need be done once) and then add media. Now when you are in the post entry box, you can click on the “camera” icon and drop your images inline with your posts.

Alternatively, you can link to remotely hosted pictures. We recommend a free picture hosting service such as www.imgur.com It is free, fast and easy. You upload your photos there, copy the [img} code they generate under ‘media links’ and copy it into your post. Your picture now appears in your post.

I'm currently exploring this with the imminent demise of Photobucket.

TGP media seems to work well. Is there a way to tell how much of the storage space I have used?

For example, when I go to my TGP inbox, I can tell the percentage I've used relative to what I paid for with my account level, delete when/as needed.

Just trying to figure out how many photos I can ultimately store in there and if this is a valid single platform for me or if I will have to combine it with some other things.

    Silver Supporting Members get
    • no banner ads
    • 75MB of storage in the Media Gallery
    • the ability to start threads in the emporium areas (up to 6 active ads per section)
    • a Private Message box capacity of 200 PMs
    • the ability to customize your title from "Silver Supporting Member"

So the total number of photos is dependant on how large your photos are.

Yep, I get all of that. Was just trying to see if there is a way to know/manage how much space is being used, so I could think about how well it works will work for me in terms of the volume I might need.

I put one photo in there today, but then don't really know the size of it, and couldn't see an easy way to find the information.

Maybe its time for a forum update like a lot of other forums have done and allow straight image insert /file upload into the thread/post without having to jump through hoops....

I use an account from www.imgbb.com. Set up an account, upload your pics, then copy the directly links and past them into your post using the Image button.

I'm in the same boat. I simply can't figure it out. I usually create a CL add and just copy the link here. Ugh. I've tried, but I'll try again to see if I can do it.

But most forum rooms now allow direct uploading file images onsite....no third party uploads....Soooooo much easier.
