Hey guys, Ive got an Eric Johnson signature maple neck Strat (with nitro finish) and the back of the neck, especially under the frets has been turning very sticky and started building up sort of black REALLY sticky stains.
Ive been trying to read alot about it so i won't damage my neck any more. 've been reading about applying lighter fluid.
Do you think that would help remove the stains? if so, how should i apply it? just go over it with an old shirt? steel wool ?
any advice would help, i'd love some specific instructions,
