I have a very nice Tennessee Rose but i dislike the two individual volume pots since they go from 100% on 10 to 50% on 9 30% on 8 and are in no way a good sweep taper for the guitar to use them very much at all.

What is the typical solution for this?
I assume replacement, but with what rating and most importantly the MASTER volume seems to be OK so I want to improve the two individual pickup volume pots WITHOUT messing up the master volume.

Can this be done, is it done often (I would think it would be a VERY popular routine mod) and why does Gretsch send out guitars like this?

    Makes no sense to me.

    Try linear taper pots.
