I have a set of Lindy Fralins and they sound so dark to much highs rolled off for me any way to make it have a little more sparkle?

    Try a treble booster.

Remove the tone pot from the neck pickup.

that works been using my white dragon for that, but its really a waste of a pedal, I think it is just a little to dark and didn't know if there was a trick to getting it a little brighter?

Absolutely. Disconnect the cap, that might be easier.

How about lowering the bass side and raising the trebble side of the pickup.

Good point...obviously check all the pickup balances and angles.

Another idea if you find all the pickups too dark would be to use higher value pots say 500k pots rather than 250k.

+1 on the treble booster idea. Another thing, if one wanted to mod their guitar, is to add a bass limiter control, ala Jaguar. You can basically wire a pot and a capacitor in parallel, so that at one end, the bass frequencies are limited by the pot but the treble passes freely through the capacitor. At the other end, all frequencies pass freely. I think the Jaguar uses a .003uf cap. I personally think this might be a bit extreme and would experiment with .01 and .047.

I usually like to have one of my tone knobs be a neck/bridge blend knob and the make the other a single tone control for all pickups. But if I had a really dark-sounding Strat, I could see substituting a bass limiter for the blend knob.

sorry I have a Lester; I de-soldered the cap and it helped enough to where I think it wont bother me. great idea Realfi!

Also already 500k pots in it.

Another thing to try is to lower the overall height of the pickup, and then raise the individual polepieces to taste...
