    Hello,

I can't seem to ignore threads and I believe ones I've previously ignored are now appearing. Can you please confirm A) How to ignore a thread and B) if previously ignored threads will be honored or if we need to re-ignore?

    Thanks!

I am aware of Ignore Member but do not know if Xenforo can ignore threads.

I find the absence of the 'ignore thread' function to be a major issue. The ignore function lets me make every P&W, EVH, Phish, and other repeated subject disappear. I will be probably move to other forums or Reddit's /r/guitar and /r/guitarpedals if the ignore thread function is not reinstated.

It's not like WE took that away. Just like the software has plusses when compared to our old software, it also has it's faults. Quite bluntly, after we spent a lot of time to make sure that TGP would continue to exist on software that is supported, if you have such strong feelings and aren't willing to simply bypass threads you don't want to read, if you need to go somewhere else, please feel free to do so. Sorry to react like this to your post but we have spent over a year working on this and the idea that you would go somewhere else if we don't cater to your wants seems like a demand. If it can be done, we'll get it done.

Just ignore things the old fashioned way by ignoring them.

In the absence of an Ignore Thread function, can we now get the P&W guys their own gear forum? I understand they are talking about gear, but it seems they have a mission to make a unique P&W thread about the same topics that have been covered ad nauseam. Yes, I realize this is a sensitive topic and I'm not trying to be negative on their intentions, but I'm just thinking they may also benefit from having a more like-minded audience to discuss with.

Also, can we un-sticky the threads about Scammers (not exactly a positive start to every login to TGP - maybe move it to the Emporium where it's relevant?) and the Policy changes (Not changed in 4yrs)?

Or more directly, don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out. If you have ANY idea of how much time and work is spent getting and keeping this site running, you wouldn't be so blatant with your demands. Sorry to be so churlish, but rudeness begets rudeness.

Seems like I've seen that attitude quite a bit. "You *owe* me something...." Pffft :p

There was an "Ignore Thread" function?

All this time I've been scrolling past things that I wasn't interested in!

if i "ignored" a thread or a member, i'd spend my whole time on TGP wondering if there were people saying mean things about me that everybody but me could see!
    this works shockingly well.

Nice, I just tried it on the "Vertex Products" thread and it works like a charm. Thanks admins!
