just wondering how i record whats happening on BFD to use in a wav or mp3?
BFD is played as a MIDI track on your sequencer, either by using a keyboard as a MIDI controller to play a drum set, or picking out the groove you want, then applying BFD for both 'MIDI in' and 'MIDI out' on that MIDI track, and record it.
On playback, keep MIDI out as BFD, change MIDI in to 'not connected', as you want the recorded MIDI track to 'play' the BFD virtual synthesizer ('cause that's what it really is after all).
The above is with Cubase, I don't know the terms in the other sequencers but I suspect they're similar.
What he said, I also do the same with Artist Drums trough Cubase
wow, thanks guys.
sorry but i didnt get that at all :S
ive only just recieved cubase VST with my sound card and dont have a clue how to use it, could you please maybe give me a step by step way of doing this?
or maybe on sonar 4? im a little more proficiant with this program.
"cubase vst" ?
1) Here's the Steinberg products, which one are you talking about?
2) Once you've identified the product, download the manual
3) Then read the manual....try the program....and re-read...re-program...and re-read......and re-program....
Sorry, but it's like learning a whole new musical instrument from scratch.....time, persistence, patience. good luck!
thanks for the help guys.
just looking and its really weird i cant see the product in the steinberg web site? its called cubasis vst ce. its obviously a budget version of cubase, it came with my soundblaster coundcard. anyway ive figured out how to work the vst instruments in cbasis and sonar 4. but my outboard vsts dont seem to work when i select them. mainly bfd. can someone help?
