Like the title suggests--

How do I remove dual lock from the bottom of pedals without damaging/scraping off the finish?

Thanks for any help!

This is why I bought a Holeyboard. Zip ties > velcro/dual-lock. I was skeptical at first, but zip ties work very well!

Heat always helps when peeling stickers or velcro, etc. But I don't apply velcro directly to pedals anymore. I put some blue painters tape on the bottom first and stick the velcro to that. I've even been able to transfer the tape and velcro, like when I sell a pedal and replace it.

Now, when you have to get the sticky crap left behind, mostly from cheap velcro, use WD-40.
Nothing cuts thru that gunk better!

I can always just peel dual lock off no problem and no residue.

As long as the pedal has a professionally painted enclosure the paint wont come off, I could see it taking paint off diy spray paint finishes maybe.
