The title pretty much sums up my question but I'd love some input as to maybe using some alternatives in v1, v2, v3. (12AX7 is the stock tube)

I normally run the amp only on the clean channel and pedal up for my dirty sounds.

Primarily I play country and country rock.

The amp has been modded by Omega before I bought it.

    All help is appreciated.

I like the jj's... great warm high end. Most Fender designs are to bright.

Thanks fellas. I ended up with using a couple of old Phillips and Syvannia 12AT7's in v1 and v2 and a JJ ECC83S in v3. very happy!!

Some of my amps don't clean up in a nice way when I use a lower mu preamp tube.
Sort of get ice picky with a lot of harshness to the attack, even though there's more headroom. Other amps do better. I think it might have something to do with plate voltages.
