Just finished re-working my old Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. New GHS ET65 speaker, new tubes (JJ 6V6 power tubes, biased at the sweet spot) and all of the Fromel mods. Unbelievable difference! The clean channel sounds a lot like a Blackface Deluxe Reverb now and the dirt channel is actually useable.

I did some repair work on my HRD with some of the "Fromel" mods...it was quite educational as I had to battle with a lot of the cheap PCB solder tabs coming up! Definitely helps though - cool!

PCB's can be a pain to work with, but it gets easier the more you do it. One local amp tech in my area actually refuses to work on any PCB amps.
