HSS setup for a SuperStrat...

I have a SuperStrat that I really like. In fact with the EMG's into an ADA MP-1 setup it's especially great. But that's not really where I am coming from these days, I am leaning more classic rock currently.

Aside from getting my '80's on - SuperStrats are great in that they're very versatile in terms of covering a lot of ground - a great type to have if you are trying play a lot of tunes with one guitar.

I'm going to keep the EMG's, but I'm thinking of getting a second pickguard with a passive setup that sounds a bit more traditional.

So, if you were going to load a Strat with a HSS set of passive pups with an eye to versatility/classic tones, what would you pick? I think a RW middle pickup woul be a good thing, but that's as far as I've gotten. Price isn't really an object, but value is appreciated.

Here's the guitar in question - what would you load in?

I have Texas Special single coils and a Dimarzio Crunch Lab in mine. Wouldn't change a thing.

I've had really good luck with Suhr pickups: FL singles and an Aldrich humbucker.

I went with Wilde Bill's L500 and a pair of L280s. Loving the sound.

I do they Andy timmons set. Slightly modified, AT-1 in the bridge, area 67 in middle, and a cruiser bridge model in the neck.
