that first pic is interesting. I didn't realize they ever had two shuttles out of the barn at the same time.
Yeah that's Discovery and Columbia. Here is a picture of Atlantis and Endeavour.
This is the Hubble picture that gets me the most. Look at how MANY galaxies there are in this field of view!
An amazing instrument. In 2 years the JWST will be launched and give us more to ooh and ahh about.
How does it keep from crashing into other things in orbit...or debris?
Just random chance?
The story of how they fixed the mirrors was really amazing as well.
For one thing, I know it orbits A LOT higher than most of the things up there.
