We are forming up a Relief Project to raise money for t he victims of Katrina......

Looks like this time we will do Pedal auctions and also Raffles......for the folks that cant afford a high dollar pedal, you will be able to by a chance for $25 and the pedal will be given to the name drawn.......

We already have multiple pedals promised from :

    David Barber
    Bob Sweet
    Marcus Dahl (M.A.D. effects)
    Jon Cusack
    George Blekas (PedalworX)
    Jeorge Tripps (Way Huge/Line6)

    more to come......

still interested in ideas/brainstorms that we might not have thought of yet

    thanks !!!!!

Hey donner, are the individuals donating or is this a mass group donation. I have a few things I will sell for the cause and I'd like to contribute.

I don't remember how it worked last time around.

Yeah those mentioned are donating pedals to be auctioned/raffled

Im looking for any new ideas - we are also tossing around a Musicians garage sale - used pedal auction/raffle

we are looking at a way to verify donations to use as raffle 'tickets'

Try and get a Diamond Memory Lane up there, so I can tell my wife that I need one, and that it's for a good cause. :)

Either way, I'll at least do the $25 thingy. Very thoughtful of you guys.

I will get invovled in the raffle for sure. I am going to donate money to the Red Cross or some other charity. Thanks for organizing yet another drive this year DonneR. Thanks to all the builders involvement as well!

still brainstorming this before we jump in with both stompers ~~~

    Lookin Good y'all !!

Good to see more donators coming onboard !!!

Well I can do some of the Raffles thru my Paypal account.... maybe put up a page on my site so everyone can track them as well.......and also do some of them as auctions.... we are already over 20 pedals I think.....

    Some more questions...~~

    How do we do this.....?
Do we have a separate raffle pool for each pedal - or have a big pool for every thing and just draw from that, like a pedal a day or something else.... ??

I remember the last time - mission fish sent electronic receipts

We could do it so you could give to me directly (no reciept/tax write off) and we could also allow reciepts from say 3 major charities ~ Red Cross and 2 others for those that want/need the write off/ or dont trust me ;)

any more t houghts or input.....???

    Donner,

You know the deal - I can never keep your phone number! Call me (615) 896-8555.

I'll put in 10 Timmy pedals, and maybe a hairball proto if I can get a board done for it.

I was going to Biloxi/Gulfport this weekend to take the baby to see my grandparents. They lost their home, so this is important to me.

Count me in as soon as the details get sorted.

Donner, I'd be happy to help out with the website if you need it; I'm pretty handy with that sort of thing (design, scripting, etc). It's all I can really contribute.

Amazing contributions from everyone so far.

Yeah no mission fishin this time ; )

The problem is everytime you go thru another layer it adds time and cost.....

So I think we will do mostly 'direct raffles' with a batch of ebay Auctions on the side, and we can do ebay without any of the other organizations, because this is mostly just 'us' bidding anyway.....

So for the raffles, I will accept direct paypal deposits to my account as 'tickets' (there will be no reciepts or anything from me, just what you get from paypal normally) and then Ill send it directly to the Red Cross.....
IF you want/need the write off I will accept reciepts from Red Cross, Mercy Corps and Save the Children if you prefer....

When sending in your reciept or paypal you will designate which raffle it goes too.....

so for example $100 would get you 4 tickets to place how you like all on one or split it up, etc.....anyway increments of $25

We are already at almost 50 pedals (more on this later).... I am trying to organize them into 4 'weeks/batches', some pedals wont be availible for a couple weeks etc for custom paint/build.... I think we need to get this done in about a month so ~~~...

and with this raffle system we dont have to wait til the end of an auction to pass money to the needy, I can dump my account each day to Red Cross and keep a flow and tally going.....

( I think we all know too well how an Ebay auction works without explanation ; )

Comments , suggestions? Speak Now, I plan on starting this Tommorrow night at the latest, Pulling winners on Tuesday afternoons.

Hey! I've been on the King of Tone waiting list for a long time! Is that one mine? ;)

But seriously folks, this is very cool. I just bought a DMM for charity over at HCEF.

Nothing against the Red Cross, but I'm giving my money to the Salvation Army - minimal overhead, bigger bang for the buck. Plus I always did have a thing for women in uniform. :D
