I scored this MIK Epi Les Paul Custom recently and can't say enough about it! I've owned loads of Gibby's, and I'm not knocking Gibson whatsoever, but this guitar is just so good! It's built like a tank, the fit and finish are superb, it feels great in the hand, and sounds absolutely glorious! It's got such a warm sound without sounding muddy and such a joy to play!! I find myself playing it more than any guitar I have and it's definitely a keeper! Are there any other fans of MIK Epi's hanging out here?

I used to own an Epiphone Les Paul, I don't know where it was created but it was a great guitar.

I had a LP Special double cut that was MIK in the mid-90s. That was a rockin' guitar. Enjoy yours, it's a looker!

I've owned 5, still have 1. I like them a lot but would never put them in the same league as my two Gibsons.

these were nice epi's. the korean's did good with these. i know about others having iffy issues with other countries & epi's, but you will occasionally find a good one :munch

I just got a made in Korea Epiphone Casino and I've pretty much had a similar great experience. I like it as much as the '67 es330 I had a couple years ago. Fit and finish are great. Will probably upgrade the pickups but it's a keeper!

I just got a Epi. LP Custom in Cherry 'burst that needs a input jack, and a good clean-up/set-up,...This one's MIK made, and as soon as I get around to it I'm gonna' check out and see if I'm one of the lucky guy's that wound up with one that had USA Gibson p-ups in it.

It has an awesome neck, and it is really well built/put together, Shame the guitar wasn't taken better care of. Hope I have a winner like I have had before with the few I've had when it's all said and done, it is a Saein plant built guitar. Tom

not an Epi, but I got to play a MIK Hoyer Eagle guitar, and maaaan, was it sweet. definitely on par with Gibsons I played, 4 times the price. Impeccable fret finishing included. Crappy tuners, though

I've owned three Gibson LPs and one Gibson Double Cut and I'd take this 2002 MIK Studio Dot over any of them.

Of course, couple things needed to be changed... new nut and replaced both pickups but I have just slightly over $200 in it.

Granted all my Gibsons were bought used so that's a slanted pool but it is what it is.

A number of Gibson owners have played it and raved about it but they'd never play it out because of the shape of the headstock.
