I'm pretty well pleased with my new(ish) Epiphone Les Paul Special II I got for a hundred bucks brand new. It plays and sounds great and I'm not afraid to do projects on it. It was a great looking guitar to start out with, but I decided it needed a bit of a facelift. It's a sunburst so I went for the classic LP sunburst look (minus the covered humbuckers which I think don't look as good as uncovered).

    Here it is before:

The new knobs are great. I hate the cream rings.

I sorta think the black pops better against the sunburst. Then again, I am colorblind.

Looks much better this way! Wonder how cream pickups would look.

Thanks! I should also mention it only cost 20 bucks total. Pickup covers (which I wrestled with getting but decided against) would've been another 20.
