I'm looking for a controllable feedback machine with controllable oscillation. I want it to be true bypass when off but when turned on it cuts out my guitar signal and just lets me play with the pedal generated noise. I want this because I want it to make noise that isn't dependent on what was just played on my guitar but can still go in my chain. Does this exist?

Caroline Guitar wave cannon offers a controllable self oscillation/feedback mode that's loads of fun. I think Boss has a new controlled feedback pedal too.

That utter stutter was cool and was pretty close to what I had in mind.

I just sold a JHS Synth Deluxe that seemed to do that. If you don't care about the overdrive sound, you don't need the deluxe. Just get the Synth Drive.
