I don't like my überkab !!!

I was thinking about leaving the two vintage 30's
And putting in two lynchbacks ?

Has anyone tried this ?
Has anyone else had a distaste for the 75's ?

I also have a regular bogner 4x12 with all vintage 30's
I like it much better !
I would like one to be a little different ,
To me the 75 watt Celestions are to sharp sounding I do not like them .

So if anyone has tried something else please let me know ?
What did you use ?
How did you like it ?
How different was it ?

Interesting....I have a stock Marshall cab with all 75's and I don't mind it, then again I don't really know any better to be honest haha!!!
Back when I used to gig from about '94-'00 I used all sorts of cheap gear that was loud (my prerequisite at the time) and it worked for me then. Not that I have the best gear there is available now....bet it is soooo much better than what I used to have! BUT...I have to wonder if my 50 watt Phaez could sound even better through all v30's or Greenbacks vs. the 75's.

To add to what you said I actually have a 93 Marshall 1960a 4x12
That I bought new it has the ft 75's I like it better then the new ones,
But when I plug in my 4x12 with v30's it sounds way better !
The überkab even sounds better but not what I want .
I used to have the same standards LOUD !!
Not sure if my tastes changed , or I hear the difference better now ,
Or I just did not know any better ?
I think a little of all the above !!

I have an rear mounted uber cab that I'm taking out the 75/V30s and putting all scumback M75s in. The stock speakers sound ok but I favor greenbacks. You could try a V30 greenback mix.

It really depends on what kinds of tones you are looking for. I will say that different types of cabs have different characteristics, but speaker swapping is what I would do first. I have had just about every major 4-12, I ended up keeping a Marshall HW.

I love my bogner ecstasy cab with all vintage 30's
I want to try something other then the gt75's
Just think they sound harsh .

I really think I'm going to put lynchbacks I place of the ft 75's and leave the two vintage 30's .
The other speakers I thought about are the cream backs but I think I like the lynchs better .

So I played for hours with all my cabs and speakers.
Bogner 4x12 all v30's
Uberckab 2 v30's 2 gt75
Crate 2x12 g12k85 then switched gt75's
Marshall 4x12 gt75's then took out two 75's added 2 g12k85's
Evh 1x12 took g12h 70th out put evm12l in mainly because I had it never tried it and because the power handling .

So my conclusion is from my cabs playing through my Uberschall I prefer the bogner cab with all v30's surprisingly next is the Marshall 4x12 with gt75's.
I'm going to try some lynchbacks in the überkab mixed with the v30's
And maybe g12h 70th mixed with the gt75's in the Marshall cab.
