Yeah, and gore said we wouldn't have glaciers by 2014...
Wanna know the sentence that scares me the most in that article? This one:
...using CRISPR technology to modify the DNA of the cacao plants,
Wanna know why? (Note the pre Eddie tapping intro)
Ya, one mispeak negates a mountain of science.
Yeah, trust issues...
At age 91, no chocolate stands to be the LEAST of my troubles.
Well, that Depends.
You can just run a new algorithm in your consciousness-transferred-to-robot self that makes chocolate less appetizing so it's all good
Might need to double up on those lol
Why don't you wanna be around for 2050? What happens at 8:51 PM that scares you?
I'll be 95 by then...if there's any chocolate left it better be melted.
I wasn't aware that he was a scientist. And he never said we would not have any glaciers by 2014 anyway.
I guess none of you remembers the early Star Trek episode where Scottie tells Kirk that the first successful attempt at making a replicater was on Earth in 2045 and it was specifically to make chocolate. No other function built in or needed.
Carob, vanilla and molasses could be a nice substitute.
I feel much better now.
As long as they're replicating the good stuff.
Yeah if non scientist Gore misunderstood one scientific study that is a totally logical reason to mistrust -- all scientists?! Huh?
If you bothered to consult with reliable sources of information, you'd learn that we're well on our way there. Sure, they haven't all vanished yet, but a lot of it is beyond the point of no return.
I'll look like this by then so I won't care.
I don't think that's going to be a problem for a significant portion of TGP.
There's a good chance I might make it to 2050 and suspect chocolate will be dispensed with a prescription and by suppository.
