Are strings directional too; like cables?!! I'm using ernie ball 8's.:RoCkIn
Weird....how did you anchor the string to the bridge without the ball end? 8s are REALLY light for an LP...if you want bigger, clearer tone I'd recommend going up to 9s or 10s. the short scale of an LP really works better with 10s in most cases...good luck!
did you know that facetious has all the vowels in the alphabet in order?
Dont tell me youre tying the string to the bridge..
Billy Gibbons of ZZTop uses 8's...
lol too funny
you guys just dont get enough. This is an impossible task. seriously. Unless you have a special bridge noone knows about. Tying them on the bridge will result in absolutely awful intonation problems. Not to mention the string is wound the same begining to end.
I don't think so, but maybe he has a Floyd Rose on his 'Paul. Then it would be possible.
Solder. Little dap will do ya. :Spank
You're kidding, right? Billy Gibbons does use 8's
Not if you spell it without an "E"
I thought I read somewhere that he does! Also Jeff Beck!
I wrap them around the bridge once, use a bit of solder, then use acoustic bridge pins and shove them in there and it stays. Not only is the tone much clearer, I feel I can play much faster too! I did have to roll the tone control down a smidge, as stringing the guitar this way increases the high end ever so slightly.
Yeah, I can definitely see how that would make you faster.
Yes he does, that's what I meant. I was saying you must be kidding about the backwards string thing.
Oops, I don't know about Jeff Beck, but Billy G does.
Wow. I just tried this and I am seriously amazed.
Yea, me too...my farts are always out of tune with my head in there.
I can feel a pressure on my leg... like somebody is pulling it...
