1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

It is a 1974 Deluxe with a mahogany neck. I got it from Action Music in Arlington, Virginia about an hour ago.

I've played that one at Action a few times. Hopefully you got a better price than what it was marked at.

I do love me a goldtop LP deluxe though. Everything about them just seems "right".

Their prices are fair. Most of their stuff is in really good shape and in good playable condition. I have never went in Action Music without buying something. At last year's Philly guitar show I got a 1960 ES-330TD from them. A few weeks ago I got a Gibson GA-20. I have a Harmony Rocket, a Cunetto "Nocaster", a blackface Princeton, and a Comins Jazz Guitar Amplifier that I got from Action Music. Right now they have an old Danelectro Convertible that I am thinking about buying if I sell a couple things on eBay.

Nice guitar! It looks like new.

I've got a 78 Les Paul Deluxe that I bought new. Those mini-humbuckers have a great tone.
I often put the switch in the middle position and back off the neck pickup just a touch. It retains that crunchy sound but mixes in a little body.
    Congrats.

    I played that very guitar.

It's a good one. Plays beautifully.

    Heavy but not too heavy.

    Sounds great.

    Congratulations.
