They were amzing when they came out in 1993 for $599. I had owned a couple.., a beautiful cherry model that I foolishly sold. I then got a good deal on a TV yellow one that I hated the color. It was actually baby sh i t yellow... They played and felt and sounded fantastic.

I had one in black and in the aforementioned babyshit yellow. I let both of them go after I decided I prefered a somewhat larger neck that some of my other guitars had. Nice guitars though.

I have a Babyshit yellow '93 (never heard that term before, but hey...)

Love the Black one (is it in the Doctor's office?), and the pickguard on burningyen's.

Hard for me to beat that P-90 scream.
Sounds great rolled back too though.

My friend has rocked one like the one in the OP for many years. Great sound. I had a BCR Jr. with an original 1959 wraparound tailpiece. Neck was way too fat for me and I sold it. It had a Lollar in it. Great sounding guitar.

Very cool! WHat is this model called? Are these 1 pickup specials commonly found? I've been wanting to get a LP Jr. type of guitar for years, but don't want to pay the price for the Historic models.

This looks just like my current #1. Mine is a custom order for Willcutt, trans cherry over 1-pc Korina, TP hardware. I replaced the pickups with WCR G-90's...

I've been having the same thoughts lately, neastguy. Must be spring coming on!

I had a '93, black, bought new, and it was my only decent guitar for years. TGP made me change the pickups out for Lollars. Then TGP made me sell it because the neck was too thin. I got a Special Korina with a great neck, Lollars, and a wraptail -- and then, of course, I foolishly sold that too, because, of course, TGP made me. ;) Best solid body P90 guitar I've ever played.

I've always wanted one of the red ones.

I almost bought a new one in red back in '97 or '98. I really regret passing on that guitar, it was an amazing player. Pretty cheap too, from what I recall. Maybe around $600 or 650?

Sold my a year ago, less the Vox 15R I got with it. For $100 more than I paid for it (and the amp). Sorry.

That's a Hamer Korina Jr. Not super common but I would not call them rare. I would call them very good!

My '96 is one of the best sounding axes I own! The Fralin Noiseless p-90's in it really work great with the one-piece mahogany slab. Rockin' axe!
