...to the first two responders to say they can provide a home for them. They're just old demo boxes, so they may look a little rough, sloppy, etc., but they're in my way, so I figured I'd just give them away. One each Aviation Effects "B-17 Boost" and "Red Arrow Overdrive."

I'd be very interested. And I love the aviation names! I'm a pilot (third generation) and huge WWII buff - and a very skilled guitarist. I know I can find a good use for them.

    Thanks!

I'm gonna be flat out honest and thankful as possible here -- I don't know much about either. I'd be happy with either pedal, as I like overdrive more than distortions & always enjoy new flavors... but, wouldn't mind having another boost to use. But, to pick one -- how about a pic or details?

This is a FANTASTIC way to earn some karma points & pay things forward...

Alright. Let's wait a minute and see if wildwind has a preference. The boost is a one knob mosfet boost with just a little bit of grit, no, it doesn't "crackle." The overdrive is pretty versatile, it will go from pretty clean to nice and gritty. Three knobs; Drive, volume, and cut.

You're too late, very sorry. Henryjurstin and Wildwind were the first responders. Waiting for a final decision but I believe Henry would rather have the overdrive.

I'd just say you can take the OD, but since Wildwind actually responded first, I think it would be good form to let him actually pick. If he doesn't pop in in an hour or two we'll stick him with the boost!

Plus, he is a very skilled guitarist. :facepalm :)

Awesome thing to do, pinkphiloyd. Can you claim this as a charitable tax deduction? :)

Sorry, was 100 miles away in the studio all afternoon. I did respond to the PM, sounds like it worked out great. I preferred the boost, the other guy preferred the OD. Cool!
