I just can't seem to get this Gretsch grounded properly.

I'm getting the open string buzz after changing out the pickups in my Pro Jet. I attached an NYII and an NYIII to the selector switch and I just can't figure out how I missed something here. I can attach pics if necessary. Any ideas, y'all?

Are you touching the strings/metal parts connected to the strings?

Yep. That quietens the buzz, so I need to figure out where it's coming from.

no, you just need to not leave the guitar turned up without holding the strings, something that's true of any guitar anyway.

You think? I have some guitars that are obnoxious with the noise, and some that are virtually silent.
