OK, just out of curiosity, which pickguard do you think looks best on this Classic 50's Tele? The choices are parchment (which actually looks white in the pics, but in person you can really tell it's not white), and black.

I like both so I'm just curious what everyone else thinks.

White is classy. Black is badass.

I like both but I chose black just because I see it less often on a burst finish.

I voted parchment in reverence to the burst, but they both look great, I have 2 Tele's one is butterscotch so that guard's always black but my other one a burnt orange refin gets 2 Tortoise ( red & brown) Parchment, Creme and Black. It's a cheap gas fix.

I'd go with the black pickguard on that Tele because it makes the maple neck "pop".
If the neck had a rosewood fretboard, I go with parchment.

Black, no doubt. White is a traditional, classy sort of look, but black really compliments the three tone sunburst by matching the edges, plus it really helps set off the maple. I feel it's very complimentary with that setup.
