I loved using the reverse function on a DL-4 in a loop. Not a huge fan of the unit, and I know I could get a M9/13, but I don't want one. Instead, I have a DD20 that I used for delays as well as the loop function. But, I miss reverse. I realized how reversing a loop helped me to continue playing a delayed part over the loop without it sounding super crowded/muddy.

I thought about buying a Echo Park or something with reverse function to put after the DD20. Any other ideas?

Empress Superdelay is great for that. I would guess the Strymon Timeline can do it too, although I don't own one.

Do you have to prerecord the loops or can you loop on the fly and then hit the reverse button on the RC20xl?
