Any suggestions? I'd prefer not to spend too much as I've spent way too much on my other pedals and gear.

I'm currently using a Verbzilla. Good for the budget, can run off a Pedalpower2, and the footprint is small. A bit heavy and the swinghinge tap button feels weird sometimes, but it puts out a nice noise free non-tone suckin' approx of a 'verb.

^ +1 on the Line 6 Verbzilla. It seems to always get favorable reviews, especially for the price.

verbzilla is a good price. even cheaper is the digiverb, which is actually very very darn good.

Liking my Hardwire also, at some point I'll compare it to my bandmembers Verbzilla (which used to be mine).
I like that its true bypass (unlike the Verbzilla), doesn't have the ridiculous little knobs of the Verbzilla (maybe thats superficial), and has stereo ins and outs (unlike the wonderful RRR I had but couldn't justify). I think the plate and room reverbs seem better than the spring - will try it at a couple of gigs for first time this weekend - especially interested how it hangs being at outside venue..
    Got it for $105 used.

    +1 on the Line 6.
When I got it, I put the Digitech up for auction on Ebay

Not exactly cheap at $180 CDN, but worth every penny.

Behringer reverb--30 bucks. They sound really good.

    Thread may now close.

A bit against the grain here, but I have owned the Verbzilla since January, and I am not sure how I feel about it. It does some neat, “out there” things, but I think the tone is pretty cold and tiny. Just my opinion though.

My other reverbs are a spring reverb on my Mesa/Boogie Trem-O-Verb, and a digital reverb on a Roland RE-3 Digital Space Echo (obscure 80’s item). So perhaps I am unfairly comparing it to those.

I have not compared it to other reverb pedals.
