My web site has been in need of some awesome sound clips of my products now for several years.
and This has finally become intolerable.

But I'm a complete idiot when it comes to digital recording.

Could someone recommend a program that doesn't require a bank loan, that will produce sound bites that will KILL the competitions?
I also could use recommendations for mics and any other hardware neccessary to complete this task.

    Thanks in advance

MBox with ProTools LE and their free Studio Bundle (with Reason, Amplitube, etc.)

No mics necessary for guitar clips - all you need is a guitar and a cord (Amplitube for amp simulation.)

Great little until that is reasonably priced.

    My $0.02

    Good luck!

+1 on the Mbox... I've had it for over a year now and no issue what so ever. Sounds great and easy to use.

To get Killer sound clips, you need to mic a cabinet, IMO. I'm using a Studio Projects C1 condensor paired with a Sennheiser e609... my best tone yet. Of couse the Sure SM 57 is standard, but found that the Sennheiser MD421 to have a wider dynamic range.

I haven't tried the AKG C1000 S, but there are several members here that has had great success with it!

What's your website? Going to the site in your signature gets me no where.

Without knowing what your products are, I don't see how it's possible to make any useful suggestions. Generalities, but that isn't going to get you even close to "killer" sound clips.

It would also help to know your budget. Killer sound, like what's on Komet's website, isn't going to happen with cheap gear, unless you can afford to hire a high-level engineer to get the most out of it.

    Tsk. So cynical.

There might be some folding chairs and a card table inside.

You can send me a brown sound pedal and I'll record it through a vintage Datamix preamp (pulled from Ladyland) for that Jimi vibe.
