I refused to buy a guitar because he was "thinning the herd"

It was a joke. I suffer from avascular necrosis in my right hip, a fact to which I alluded in an earlier reply in this very thread:

I guess I had assumed that people would've read that previous post ... or at least given me the benefit of the doubt and asked first if I were serious.

C'mon Uncle G, you know I was just pulling your leg. I would've thought the marca registrada would've given away the sarcasm that was actually pointed at those incomprehending guys, not to mention my previous post?

Anyway, sorry I tendered offense with what is apparently my overly-dry sense of humor.

Or maybe the person is actually working - or raising kids or waiting in line or sitting on the toilet or who even cares - and selling a guitar is just something they’re doing that isn’t quite as high a priority.

Not everybody spends all day, all the time buying and trading and selling and buying and trading...

Because I’ve done this when I’ve had a spare minute between things and used it as an opportunity to get an ad started. Because I was busy. Gosh, I’m such an annoying, lazy loser.

Good grief. Bitch session threads are the worst.

But since I’m bitching. What annoys me is when I place an ad and some know-it-all self-appointed expert who has no interest in buying my guitar can’t help himself from sending an email to share his opinion on my guitar, my ad, my photos, and the price I’m asking. I think I have a pretty good idea where that guy got his degree in Guitar Know-It-All... probably an online guitar forum.

I've thinned the herd in the past and I will likely do it again.
Sometimes you buy a guitar because you want the versatility of having something different.
Sometimes, even though it is a high quality guitar you just never seem to be able to bond with it and then it doesn't get played.
If that happens to me I put it up for sale.

Who cares why they are selling?
Do you want the guitar or not?
If you're happy with the guitar and the price is reasonable but then you refuse to buy it solely because you don't like their reason for selling .... that just makes no sense to me.

I know you were joking. I usually put one of these after a post when I’m joking. ;)

    It’s all good.
