I saw Robin Trower last nite in Indy at the Egyptian Room. This the third time I've seen him live ! He played for 1 1/2 hours and he played great !!! He's 66 years old and looked and sounded great ! He played thur one Marshall Modern Vintage Head (but had two on stage) into one blonde Marshall 4x12 cab but also had two Marshall 2x12 cabs on stage. His effects were Fulltone Deja'Vibe 2 ,Clyde Wah,Fixed Wah,RTO,old silver Fulldrive and a Boss TU-2 .

I last saw Robin Trower about 15 years ago at the Mud Island Ampitheater down on the Mississippi River here in Memphis.
There were several bands, Johnny Winter was the last one.
Robin was great, very much the English gentleman, seemed humble and appreciative of the audience.
He had great tone, the songs were just like the record, except live!
I'd go see him again if the opportunity arises.

Johnny Winter was very good, but his vocals were weak, but I didn't go to hear him sing.

Hope comes to Austin soon, I missed him the last couple times he came here.
How loud was he? If he's like he was when I saw him in the 80s, your ears will be ringing for a week.

It certainly is! It's pretty mellow compared to what he recorded in his hey day but it also demonstrates a certain sophistication that wasn't there then.

It was Mason Rufner, Robin Trower and Johnny Winter! It was outside at the Mud Island in the drizzling rain...It was great!

He's louder than most metal bands of today ! Couldn't hear people talking(maybe it was the beer ?) !

Love Trower. He's playing in Buffalo on June 4, a little over an hour from here. If I don't have a gig that night, I'd love to go.

Killer tone with that Marshall Vintage Modern! :beer

I saw him a couple months ago, and I agree, sounded great and looked like he was enjoying himself.

I look forward to seeing him again.
